It isn't just destructive for clergy and other persons of influence within the body of Christ to avoid and reject biblical truths, but for anyone who professes to follow Christ for that matter.

In Brazil, parents of homeschooled children were sentenced to 50 days in prison for what he called the "intellectual" neglect of their children despite the fact that both a prosecutor and an education psychologist finding no evidence of "intellectual" neglect.

But the judge persisted in sentencing the parents anyway because the parents did not teach their children the state's perverted version of "gender and sex education" or its version of "tolerance and diversity" despite the fact that both children are able to speak multiple languages and because their daughters had a distain for certain types of music.

If your local community does not know that your church exists, it may be because there hasn't been enough outreach.

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance.

While the following does provide some insight as to the extent of the Egyptian empire, the most interesting find in the reported discover is the presence of fossilized cooking dough which, under the right conditions would have had to have dried out very quickly in order to have been preserved for the last few thousand years.

I may be no physic expert or an expert in quantum mechanic or quantum physics but after reading this item, it makes me wonder, if when we dabble in quantum mechanics or quantum physics, whether we may be tapping into a realm beyond this material realm.

Development builds upon a foundation; departure replaces it.

Development builds upon a foundation; departure replaces it.

When an institution begins revising the very authority that gave it its identity, it is no longer developing a tradition. It is creating a new one.

History teaches that institutions rarely abandon their founding principles all at once. Drift is almost always gradual.

The best example is from the Old Testament in the life of King Solomon. Solomon did not wake up one morning and reject the God who had given him wisdom. His decline came one compromise at a time. One accommodation led to another. Small departures accumulated until the king who dedicated the Temple tolerated practices that would once have been unthinkable.

That is how drift works. It rarely announces itself. It happens slowly enough that each step seems reasonable. Only years later do people look back and realize how far they have traveled.

The same danger confronts every institution, whether it is a church, a university, a business, or even a nation.

Churches deserve the same honest examination.
